Role: Web and Marketing Strategist at RedOrum (June 2015 – July 2016)
In effort to increase RedOrum’s social media presence and website traffic, I created the #TechTipTuesday Social Media Campaign. Every Tuesday, starting July 14, 2015, RedOrum releases a variety of technology-related tips, life-hacks, and advice.
Purpose: The goal of this Campaign is to organically raise RedOrum’s online metrics and SEO rankings by drawing new visitors through helpful and interesting content. By publishing industry-related content in online platforms, our marketing strategy becomes relevant and helpful to potential clients, not interruptive. Because people nowadays turn to the Internet for almost anything, publishing consistently creates an engaging and interactive brand for prospects who need help with technology. Since RedOrum is an IT solutions company, the Campaign not only contributes knowledge in the tech industry but also highlights the company goal of helping the community become informed about technology so they can make better decisions.
Result: Since July 2015, #TechTipTuesday’s active role in social media has contributed to the increase in RedOrum’s Global SEO Rankings by more than 260,000 rankings (Alexa). It has also contributed to the 400% increase in Twitter profile visits, 250% increase in Tweet impressions, and more than 50 new likes on Facebook.
